Visitor & Access Information

Admission & Community Access Fee

Admission Fee: While there is no fee to enter the Sea Pines Forest Preserve itself, the Sea Pines community is gated and a visitor fee is required for entry into the community.
 

Sea Pines Daily Visitor Gate Fee: $10.00(Standard 2 axle vehicle; Note additional cost for larger vehicles applies). For more information, please visit seapinesliving.com/visitors.


There are two entrances into Sea Pines and a gate pass may be purchased at either entrance. The main gate is located on Greenwood Drive (please use the right-hand lane for pass purchases) and the Ocean Gate located off Cordillo Parkway. 

Getting to The Sea Pines Forest Preserve

You can access the Forest Preserve daily from dawn to dusk on foot, on bike or by vehicle. There are two main entrances. 


  • The walking entrance is located on Greenwood Drive, approximately 1 mile from the Greenwood Gate. From the parking area, follow the marked paths leading into the preserve's walking trails. 


  • The driving entrance is accessed via Lawton Canal Road off Greenwood Drive. Turn at The Sea Pines Forest Preserve sign and follow signs to the parking areas.

Rules & Regulations

  • The Sea Pines Forest Preserve is open daily from dawn to dusk
  • Bicycles are not permitted on the walking trails. Please park your bicycles at the locations provided. 
  • Swimming is not permitted in the Forest Preserve.
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times. 
  • DO NOT FEED WILDLIFE!
  • No smoking or open fires are permitted. 
  • The stocked fishing lakes in the Forest Preserve are reserved for Sea Pines Property Owners, their guests and resort guests. Fishing permits are required and can be obtained for a fee at the CSA Security Office located at 175 Greenwood Drive. Minnow bait is not allowed. 
  • The picnic area on Fish Island is equipped with a shelter, picnic tables, grills, drinking water and portable toilets. Permits for group outings must be obtained by calling the Sea Pines CSA Administration office at (843) 671-1343.
